My name is Chris and over the last few years I’ve developed a passion for Information Security, and Cyber Security. I havn’t always been like this though, I started out in the Army as an Artilleryman, and after about five years of doing that I decided to change my job to pursue something potentially less dangerous, and more rewarding as an Apache Helicopter Mechanic, after another five years of doing that I was put on assignment as an Army Recruiter. Something I always wanted to do, because I was lucky enough to have a great recruiter when I enlisted. It wasn’t as glorious as some may have made it out to be, but it was a great time in my life.
During my time as a Recruiter, I started to spend time with my passion of computers, programming and tinkering. This is also when I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a chronic inflammatory disease that primarily affects the spine, causing pain, stiffness, and potential fusion of the vertebrae. Fast forward another year and I’m medically retired from the Army after 13 great years, and pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Cyber Security.
Since then it’s been a moderately paced sprint to catch up in the ever changing industry and help good people stay safe against bad people trying to do harm. I found a home in the Managed Service Provider world, working with a great MSP to help small and medium size businesses keep them and their own clients safe and secure.
